Being optimistic is not being happy. The dictionary defines being optimistic as being “hopeful and confident about the future.”

3 Action Points to becoming more optimistic:

  1. Remember

Take some time to remember who Christ is and what He’s already done for you. You have life. You have hope. You have a secure future.

  2. Make the Choice

Sometimes you have to make the conscious choice to be optimistic as opposed to being pessimistic. Choose to see the positive in things. Choose to not be critical. Make that choice daily.

  3. Spread Optimism

Don’t choose it and keep it to yourself. Spread it around to everyone you come in contact with. Live it, teach it, model it. Let it come through in every conversation you have and in every situation you find yourself in. Be contagiously optimistic.
