We are like a clean piece of paper put through a machine, copying the exact image of another sheet of paper (Jesus) that is put in the machine with us. Who are you copying with your life?

4 Action Steps to being xerographic:

  1. Christ is the ultimate leader. With a handful of men He changed history and the course of life. There is no better leader to copy, so don’t hesitate to ask what Jesus would do.
  2. Obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. He will speak to you in your mind, through the Bible or with the voice of another person. He is the “charger” in your life and He will be the one who helps you be a better leader.
  3. Put value on other leaders. They were put there by God just as you were put where you are. Don’t envy their position or organization. Don’t compete with them. Don’t be negative toward them. They are all there by design, for you to copy or perhaps as an example of the kind of leader you are not to be.
  4. Yield to the standard set by God in His Word. It tells us to: (a) Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ (b) Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. (c) Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. God has given you a great opportunity to lead others. Ask God to change you into the best leader you can be.
