Six-Level Model of Reviewing Your Own Work

These six levels are a simple way to look at the work you need to focus on.  We’ll use some altitude terms:

•RUNWAY:  Current actions, tasks, today’s focus

•10,000 FEET:  Current projects, things you’re working on that take a little time

•20,000 FEET:  Areas of Responsibility, larger things that you’re responsible for.

•30,000 FEET:  One – Two year goals

•40,000 FEET:  Three – Five year goals/Vision steps

•50,000+ FEET:  All of LIFE

There are different times that you need to take a different look at various aspects of your life.

Know what you’re looking at.

Know what “altitude” you need to look at.
