Who’s Your TARGET?

In order to create a successful marketing campaign, you need to identify who your target is and who your target is not.

Imagine playing a game of darts and not aiming for the bullseye?

Who are you trying to reach?

*Young people?

*Young people living in South America?

*Young people living in South America with smart phones?

*Young people living in South America with smart phones that speak English?

*Young people living in South America with smart phones that speak English who plan to go college?

*Young people living in South America with smart phones that speak English who plan to go to college in North America.

Do you see the difference?  The more specific you get, the better focus you can give to your marketing.  By walking through the above process, you can go from general to much more specific.

Begin your marketing aimed at the specific target.  This allows you to customize your approach.  You may need to identify multiple targets which then might require different marketing campaigns.

We all have a MESSAGE, something that we want to get out to the world.

Effective marketing helps us get that MESSAGE to the people who need it the most.

Spend some time identifying your TARGET before you start sharing your message.
