On Being Useful

There are two basic questions you need to ask yourself if you really want to be used by God.

First, ARE YOU WILLING to be used?  Here are some questions…

Do you make excuses to God?  Do you “run away” from God? Do you avoid God’s call and direction?  Do you really want to be used?

Many people talk about wanting to be used by God, wanting to be useful to God, but they aren’t really willing.  They have every excuse in the book.  You need to honestly ask yourself this question.  Are you really willing?

Second, ARE YOU READY to be used?  here are some questions….

You may be willing, but is your life in a place that God can use you?  Has sin crept into your life and is keeping you from Him?  Is it controlling your life and keeping you from living the way God created you to live?

Many people are willing, but their lives are such a mess that there’s no possible way they can be used unless they clean out some of the junk that has crept into their life and taken their mind and heart away from God.

Isaiah 59:2   “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”

Romans 8:38-39  “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rules, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
