I’m a coffee snob. I just came back from a coffee shop.
It was about 9:15 a.m. I offered coffee, dark, bold blend. The person said, “We only have light blend, no bold.”
“Are you making more bold?”
“No, we’re not brewing bold this time of day.”
9:15 it`s a coffee shop, you`re not doing bold?
I couldn’t get over the fact that I couldn’t get what I wanted at a prime time of the day.
Now I realize leadership has to make decisions, but it should never be at our preference or convenience. Leadership has to test the direction of the wind to determine the needs and passions of people he serves.
I want to be sensitive to the needs and desires of the people around me and to make decisions that serve the needs of the team, not me.
